Learn from the Experts

Our knowledge of traditional building techniques such as lime rendering and plastering together with our passion for restoration of historic buildings make us the perfect place to learn how the master builders did it then and do it now. We are one of the leading experts in the field of historic building restoration work to properties in the U.K. and our passion for what we do is what sets us aside. Learning from master tradesmen our lime workshops will advance your level and understanding of working with lime based plaster and putty mixes including lime mortars and many other traditional cob building techniques.

From Novice to Master

Just as David Rawle passed on his knowledge of traditional cob and lime buildings, our lime training courses are designed to teach you everything you need to set out with the confidence and knowledge to tackle your own restoration project. We have successfully run countless lime workshops for many years and take pride in still being in contact with many of our students, some of whom have even become professional trades people themselves.

Bring a Packed Lunch & a Trowel

Our workshop format takes a full day so naturally we advise all of our attendees to bring along a packed lunch. Whilst we do have a limited option for cafe's and shops surrounding our location incl' a Tesco nearby, we always suggest packing a sarni or two in your bag is best.

We also suggest bringing along a trowel as we can't always guarantee to have a stock available on the day. Although we usually have trowels we can sell you in our warehouse store, or you can order one before hand right here on our website.
